INVERCLYDE has been named within the top 10 'most vain' areas in Scotland.
Hair and beauty experts Chris & Sons mapped the number of hairdressers and beauty salons per 100,000 people across the United Kingdom.
Their research ranked Inverclyde eighth in Scotland, with 77 such premises per 100k.
South Ayrshire was named the most vain area in the country.
