THE Met Office has issued a yellow warning for thunderstorms in parts of Inverclyde tonight.
The warning is in place from 4pm tonight until 11pm, with parts of Port Glasgow and Greenock affected.
The service has warned that the adverse weather could affect driving conditions, delay trains and cause short term losses of power in some areas.
Damage to structures and buildings due to lightning strikes are also a possibility.
