PETROL prices here remain the second highest in Scotland.
Figures published this week show that the average cost for a litre of petrol in Inverclyde is £1.65 - which is 24 pence less than August but still six pence more than the Scottish average of £1.59, as well as seven and nine pence more than in Glasgow and Renfrewshire respectively.
Since mid-August, the Orkney Islands has been the only place in Scotland more expensive for fuel than Inverclyde, with motorists there currently being charged £1.70 per litre for petrol.
