A POPULAR Greenock nightclub has been put on the market for almost £200,000 following the end of a long-term tenancy.

Red Nightclub on Cross Shore Street has been listed by local firm Bowman Rebecchi for £195,000, with the 490-capacity venue also available to rent for £2,000 per month.

The listing suggests the premises would be suitable for 'experienced nightclub operators as well as property investors and developers looking to convert the venue for alternative uses'.

The venue's speakers, DJ system, fridges, new flooring and lighting are all included in the sale price.

Red's current operator has run the venue for 13 years as both a local nightclub and a music venue hosting gigs and special one-off events.
