RAIL bosses will visit to discuss upcoming improvements to Port Glasgow Railway Station at a public meeting on Monday.
Port Glasgow West Community Council will host Network Rail chiefs at Port Glasgow Town Hall.
There will be a visual presentation of the planned construction works, including large scale drawings and artist's impression of how the revamped station will look on completion.
Work will start to construct a new bridge across the line on February 6. This will mean the lift to platform two will come down on Highholm Avenue for travellers going west towards Gourock and Wemyss Bay.
Disabled access will start with a ramp at the former taxi office at the top of Princes Street which will take wheelchair users and people with mobility problems up to platform 1.
Tommy Rodger, secretary of the community council, said: "Following the presentation, Network Rail will then take questions from the public. We hope to find out more about the construction plans for the new bridge and the benefits it will bring. We are inviting the Port Glasgow community to come and hear more about what is in store."
The meeting starts at 7pm.
