A KILMACOLM man has been charged with carrying out an assault to severe injury.
Cameron Stuart, 24, is accused of pushing a man and causing him to fall to the ground at Wellington Street in Greenock.
He is further charged with struggling with two police officers and punching one PC on the face.
The Crown says that Stuart, of Whitelea Avenue in Kilmacolm, committed the alleged offences on August 29 last year.
He has pleaded not guilty through lawyer Aidan Gallagher at the sheriff court, with the case due to call again on May 2.
