FORMER Morton favourite Warren Hawke is tackling a mammoth 2,100 mile charity cycle in Italy.
The ex-striker, who went on to become the club's chief executive after finishing his playing career, is getting set to take on the 2,100-mile route of this year’s Giro d’Italia two days before the pros.
He will be raising money for underprivileged kids in the process.
Warren will take on the long distance test from May 4-26.
The endurance fitness fanatic will cycle an average of 164km a day and climb 51,300 metres along the way - the equivalent of ascending Mount Everest six times.
Warren said: "I will be pushing myself to the absolute limit.
"Since June last year I have been following a rigid training plan which should me to get to the starting line in the best shape possible."
He has created an online sponsorship page where donations can be made, with over £2,000 already contributed.
