A PIONEERING project has been launched in Larkfield to ease the soaring cost of living.
Youth Connections has received £4,000 from the Scottish Children's Lottery Trust Chance to Flourish Fund for a new programme.
The initiative is called Family Connections and will include a community fridge 'snack shack' for young people who are in need.
Kay Clark, who is supporting Youth Connections with funding applications, said: "We will be handing out breakfast and lunch bags.
"We will also fill a fridge at Youth Connections for young people who are using the centre and experiencing food poverty."
The centre will also be distributing fuel vouchers on a referral basis through the three centres.
