FERGUSON'S has sent fiasco ferry MV Glen Sannox back to the Dales Marine shipyard in Greenock once again.
The vessel, which was drydocked there for three weeks last summer for 'finishing touches' to internal systems and a paint job on its hull, has returned again.
Just over six months on, she made the short journey downriver from Port Glasgow on Wednesday.
Glen Sannox, which was meant to have been finished five years ago, is finally due to be delivered to CalMac in May unless any further delays emerge.
A spokesperson for Ferguson Marine said: "There are several activities planned during the dry-docking, which can’t be carried out afloat.
"The most significant is the removal of the propeller shafts that were installed before launch more than five years ago, for inspection and maintenance.
"Subject to completing this, we anticipate running the main engines and turning the propellers on back at the shipyard in March, which will be a welcome milestone.”
