A GREENOCK care home worker caught throwing a 'party' in breach of Covid restrictions flew into a prolonged foul-mouthed rant at police and booted an officer.
Gaynor Carrigan, 30, hurled abuse for 15 minutes at two PCs who had gone to a property at Regent Street and issued her with a fixed penalty fine, the sheriff court was told.
Carrigan — who committed the offence in January 2021 — shouted: "I work in a care home, you can't tell me what I'm allowed to do."

Prosecutor Karen Yuill told the court that the behaviour 'ranged from verbal insults to incoherent mutterings'.
The fiscal depute said: "A fixed penalty had been issued, however, the accused for 15 minutes repeatedly shouted at the officers.
"She was reminded that her job should have made her more cognisant of the restrictions.
"The accused kicked out at the officer's left leg using her right boot.
"As the officer attempted to handcuff her she threw herself to the ground and shouted, 'Yous are assaulting me'.
"She was conveyed to Clydebank police office and thereafter released pending a report."
Defence lawyer Amy Spencer said: "An extremely unpleasant experience for all persons, and wholly inappropriate from Miss Carrigan.
"She now has another job.
"What she did was wholly out of character for her and she is extremely concerned about the consequences because she will leave the court as a convicted person."
Ms Spencer added: "She felt at the time that the police were treating her unfairly.
"She should just have gone quietly and taken the fixed penalty and been done with it."
Sheriff James Varney told Carrigan: "You should have known, as a care worker at the time, the importance of Covid restrictions.
"You come to the court as a first offender and hopefully this will act as a deterrent for the future.
"I take a dim view of what you did but I'm prepared to treat it as a one-off."
The sheriff fined Carrigan £600.
