SENIOR high school pupils from across Inverclyde have had the chance to find out more about science and engineering thanks to an exciting new link with West College Scotland.
Students from Clydeview Academy, Notre Dame and St Columba's High took part in STEM event at the Greenock campus.
They were given the chance to study a 'Safety in Microbiology' course delivered by global science firm DSM.
The local S6 pupils attended over recent months to complete the short course which covers a range of processes including sub-culturing micro-organisms.
The pupils taking part were then awarded completion certificates from the college science department.
David Mill, from DSM, said: "We have a long and valued partnership with West College Scotland, in supporting young men and women into a STEM related career, through our award-winning apprenticeship programme.
"Young people learn new skills from our industry experts and are involved in exciting new developments in both science and engineering."
