HIT BBC drama Shetland will be back filming in Greenock next week as production continues on its eighth season.
Sections of Greenock's Old Largs Road will be closed next Tuesday between 7am and 6pm while filming works take place for the new series of the popular crime drama.
Inverclyde Council has confirmed that a portion of the route will be shut, with the closure starting from its its junction with Dunrod Road and running up to the boundary between the Inverclyde and North Ayrshire council areas.
The new series will be the first without show star Douglas Henshall, who has stepped away from his role as lead character DI Jimmy Perez.
Ashley Jensen, who has starred in After Life and Mayflies, is taking on the lead detective role in the new series.
Previous seasons have featured numerous scenes shot in and around Greenock and Largs.
