EMERGENCY services are at the scene of a two vehicle crash involving a police car in Greenock this afternoon.
The collision occurred at around 1.45pm at the junction between Ardgowan Street and Robertson Street.
Police have confirmed that no serious injuries were reported and have said that recovery is being arranged for the vehicles involved.
An eyewitness told the Tele: "I heard a loud bang and then when I looked round the two cars were sitting at the give way.
"The front was completely off the police car and the other car was pushed right into the corner of a nearby building.
"I hope everyone involved is okay."
A Police Scotland spokesperson said: “Around 1.45pm on April 18, a report was received regarding a crash between a car and a police vehicle on Robertson Street, Greenock.
"There were no serious injuries reported and recovery is being arranged.”
