GOUROCK Golf Club has promised to keep their close links with an Inverclyde charity which was set up to support struggling families.
The club's first ever female captain, Norma Ramsay, was delighted to have Gourock recognised by Children in Poverty Inverclyde.
Over the years the golf club has been one of the biggest supporters of the charity founded by businessman Pat Burke to send youngsters on much needed holidays.
Norma said: "I work withthe health visiting team in Renfrewshire as a family support worker. For many years I worked at Glencairn nursery.
"I know myself how many families badly need help. I work on the frontline with families like those the charity helps. It makes all the difference in the world when someone reaches out to help."
Children in Poverty Inverclyde trustee George Wall said: "We just wanted to say thanks to Gourock Golf Club for their support."
