YOUNGSTERS at Inverkip Nursery are ready for the good weather after staff and parents worked hard to makeover their outdoor play area.
Little ones at the busy village nursery will spend the summer enjoying a brand new extended play area which includes a new sand space and mud kitchen.
Staff were also able to extend the boundary of the nursery playground at the Inverkip school to create more room for the wee ones to have fun.
The 30 youngsters, all aged between three and five, now have the opportunity to enjoy other outdoor activities such as a see-saw and a chatty shed where they can enjoy relaxing and having snacks.
Early years education childcare officer Leanne Wilson says the youngsters are 'loving' having more outdoor space.
She told the Tele: "We have been wanting to extend our outdoor area for a while.
"It's great we have finally made it happen."
She added: "The children are loving being outdoors and playing in all the new areas, opening up the space has given them more room to explore and play.
"We want to thank all of the parents and staff members who helped us make this happen.
"We're delighted to see it come together."
