A GREENOCK boat club made waves as it marked the Coronation with a celebratory flotilla.
Royal West of Scotland Amateur Boat Club members took to the Clyde on Saturday to celebrate the crowning of King Charles III.
Whiteforeland, a large five-person boat, joined some of the club’s kayaks for the special maritime salute to the new Monarch.

The vessel, which is amongst the oldest owned by the club, has its own royal connection, having been involved in the late Queen’s diamond jubilee pageant on the Thames in 2012.
Club vice president Rose Sloan told the Tele that members had a terrific time marking the momentous occasion.
She said: “It was a nice day, the boats looked lovely out on the water.
“We felt as a royal club it was an occasion that we should mark.
“We had the heavy four out in the water and some kayakers too.
“Two of our members, Campbell McColl and Yvonne Christie, were on the Thames for the pageant during the jubilee with the heavy four.
“They were part of the flotilla, and we still have a pennant from the jubilee framed at the club.
“After our flotilla was finished, we had a lunch in the clubhouse and watched the coronation.
“We had a toast afterwards to their majesties and I think people had a really great day.
“We had bunting inside and outside the clubhouse, it was a really lovely atmosphere.
“We enjoyed the whole occasion on Saturday, it’s not one you see very often.”
