A LEARNER driver has admitted getting behind the wheel of a car solo in Greenock - just days after he was bailed by a sheriff following guilty pleas to an identical offence.
Uninsured John Dorrian drove a Vauxhall Corsa on Inverkip Road without 'L' plates on April 26.
The 45-year-old had been released from the sheriff court with a nighttime curfew having committed the same offences just six days earlier.
Solicitor David Tod also confirmed, on behalf of Dorrian, pleas of not guilty to further charges of alleged unlawful possession of a knife and a screwdriver.
Dorrian, of Ravenscraig Court, was remanded in custody ahead of a trial on those matters, which is due to take place on May 17.
