POLICE have confirmed that a young man was taken to hospital following a crash in Port Glasgow last night which saw both sides of the A8 closed.
Officers say they received a report of a collision involving a motorcyle and another vehicle in the Castle Road area of Port Glasgow at around 8.20pm on Sunday May 14.
Emergency services attended the scene of the incident and a 26-year-old man was taken to hospital.

A Police Scotland spokesperson said: “Around 8.20pm on May 14, 2023, police were called to a report of a crash involving a motorcycle and another vehicle in the Castle Road area of Port Glasgow.
“Emergency services attended and a 26-year-old man was taken to hospital for treatment.”
