A TOP team of stylists and beauticians from Port Glasgow have been hailed as among the best in Britain at a major industry awards ceremony.
Amethyst Hair and Beauty on King Street returned home from the Hair and Beauty UK awards in Birmingham Best Salon Team in Scotland.
Owner Nicola Cox told how she was was 'over the moon' at the announcement.
The 36-year-old, who opened the salon 13 years ago, said: "I know I have the best team and I am so proud of them all.
"They are all very talented.
"Every single day of the week we make sure that our clients leave our salon feeling better about themselves. That is the most important thing."
Nicola says the team thorougly enjoyed their visit to the awards ceremony.
She told the Tele: "It was a fantastic trip, four of us made it down and it was so glamorous. I couldn't believe it when our name was called. "
Amethyst was nominated for a total of three prizes after entering the UK Hair and Beauty awards.
The King Street salon was up for best salon, best salon team and owner Nicola was in the final for best hair stylist.
The bash was hosted by reality TV star Jake Quickenden and provided a night of style and drama.
Nicola said: "It was lovely to meet lots of other stylists from all over the country and to see the very best in the industry."
Nicola would like to thank her team: Christine Russell, stylist, Carrie Alexander, stylist, Caitlynne Robertson, nail technician, Stephanie Alexander, beautician, Juliana Morrell, stylist, Lisa Matheson, stylist and Coragh Wilson, her junior.
