TELE photographer George Munro selects his pictures of the week.
Pic 1: Gourock Primary School's new extension opened this week to the delight of pupils and teachers. Council dignitaries, the school chaplain and guests were treated to a morning of song and celebration after councillor Francesca Brennan declared the extension open.
Pic 2: Pupils of St John's Primary School in Port Glasgow are well-known for the scope of their general knowledge, and yet again have proved they rank amongst the best. I took this pic of the young brainboxes when they qualified for the national finals of the Euroquiz competition.
Pic 3: The first of the heavyweight luxury superyachts visited Inverclyde and caught the attention of keen river-watchers as she made her way to James Watt Dock. Yacht Pi, with her floor to ceiling windows and rakish look, made quite a sight as she snuggled the quayside beneath the Titan Crane.
Pic 4: I took this picture after mindless vandals struck the popular Riverside Club in Port Glasgow. Windows were smashed and items, including the club's music system, were left broken and scattered across the floor.
It was a terrible shame to see the damage done and we hope the club premises are back up and running again soon.
