TWO Scout leaders have told how they were lucky enough to attend the Coronation concert at Windsor Castle to help celebrate the Coronation of His Majesty King Charles III.
Gary McLuskey, who is Assistant Camp Skipper at Everton, and Gordon Sinclair, Assistant District Commissioner, set off at 5.30am to drive down.
Gary said: "The atmosphere was awesome and it was great to be part of history.
"We had to queue before we made our way up to the castle then we had a quick bite to eat before we made our way to our spot which was quite close to the stage.
"It was great to see all the performances before and during the concert.
"It was nice to see the royal family enjoying themselves too.
Both Gary and Gordon would like to pass on their thanks to our Lord Lieutenant Peter McCarthy for getting the tickets and giving them the opportunity to attend the concert.
