POLICE have arrested and charged a seventh man in connection with the death of Neil Canney in Greenock.
The 25-year-old was detained by officers today.
Mr Canney, 37, was found seriously injured in Nairn Road around 1.15am on Tuesday 28 February.
He was taken by ambulance to the Queen Elizabeth University Hospital in Glasgow where he died a short time later.
The arrested 25-year-old is due to appear at Greenock Sheriff Court tomorrow, Wednesday May 24, and a report will be sent to the procurator fiscal.
Six men, aged 22, 23, 24, 27, 28 and 38, have already been arrested, charged and appeared at Greenock Sheriff Court.
