A GREENOCK postbox has made waves online with its new Waverley-themed woolly topper.
The box, which sits at the junction between Margaret Street and the Esplanade, has been decorated with a knitted topper featuring the much loved paddle steamer, which sails past the area frequently.
The ship set off last Friday for her first sailing of the season and stopped off at Greenock's Customhouse Quay along the way.
The Waverley is back on the water this year after 2,000 donors pulled together to raise £180,000 to cover her dry docking fees earlier this year.
She will be back in Greenock from next month as the main summer season gets under way, with sailings on select dates between June 23 and August 27.
