TELE photographer George Munro takes us through his pictures of the week.
Pic1: Taking a picture of visiting cruise ship Mein Schiff, I noticed our much-loved paddler Waverley chuntering down the Clyde from Glasgow. The picture taken as the steamer passed by the cruise ship prompted many Tele readers to comment on the contrast of scale between the two vessels.
Pic2: I took this picture as a lifeboat crew waded to the rescue of a yacht that had grounded on a rocky outcrop near the entrance of James Watt Dock. The yacht was refloated when the tide rose hours later.
Pic3: Tele reporter Lorraine Tinney and I met up with jobseekers looking for positions in the newly built Scotts restaurant on Greenock's waterfront. The jobs fair, which ran over three days, attracted a large number of people hoping to get a start in the prestigious eatery.
Pic4: The arrival of HMS Queen Elizabeth on the Clyde attracted shipping watchers keen to catch her picture as she made her way to Glen Mallan ammunition jetty at the edge of Loch Long.
She certainly made for an imposing sight!
