GOUROCK'S outdoor pool has been praised in the Scottish Parliament after making waves online in recent weeks.
The popular swimming destination will feature on the cover of Blur's new album, The Ballad of Darren, set to be released in July.
The band revealed a moody photo taken by British photographer Martin Parr in 2004 will adorn their latest collection of tunes and the announcement was celebrated by locals who instantly recognised the scene.

Now, a Labour MSP has submitted a motion to Holyrood that notes the cover will be looked at by 'millions of music fans' and states the pool is one of the town's best facilities.
West Scotland politician Paul O’Kane said: “I think it was a pleasant surprise for anyone who knows the pool to see it on the front cover of a music album.

“It’s fantastic for such a unique Gourock feature to get that kind of exposure.
“I hope plenty of people who haven’t been to Gourock before or know about the pool will see the cover and ask, ‘where is that?', and I certainly hope they find out and come to Gourock to see the pool and the beautiful surroundings for themselves.”
