LEWIS Capaldi could be set to pay a visit to Port Glasgow for a special fundraising event this week.

David Carroll, owner of the Caledonian Bar in Port Glasgow, says he has approached the Someone You Loved singer's manager about attending a racenight the bar is holding this Friday.

Lewis's brother Warren has already agreed to attend the event, which is supporting the fundraising work of Greenock woman Kristin Hamill.

As well as a performance from Warren, the event's lineup also features Ian Redman of electronic dance group Ultrabeat.

Student nurse Kristin almost died from an infection last year and suffered multiple organ failure.

She was diagnosed with sepsis and still requires dialysis three times per week while she awaits a kidney donor.

Kristin has been raising cash for the renal unit at the QEUH, as well as the dialysis unit at Inverclyde Royal, and the event at The Caldeonian Bar this Friday will support the latter.

Generous bar owner David told the Tele that Warren had kindly agreed to bring along some merchandise signed by his brother to be raffled off at the event regardless of whether his singer sibling was able to attend.

The bar has also had hospitality tickets donated by Rangers FC with a number of other signed items available.

In addition to hosting Warren this Friday, the bar is also set for a visit from Chase star Paul Sinha on Thursday.

Paul, known at 'The Sinnerman', will be at the bar from 8pm for a night of quizzes and comedy.

The TV star will host a quiz and the top three teams will face off against the chaser.

He will also talk about how Parkinson's has affected his life.

Tickets for both nights cost £10 and will be available at the door but buying in advance from the bar is strongly advised.
