A MAN who was struck by a train at Branchton Railway Station in Greenock has survived but has sustained life-changing injuries, it has been confirmed this morning.
Paramedics, police and firefighters were alerted to the emergency at around 5.30pm last night and the casualty, who is in his 30s, was thereafter rushed to hospital.
A British Transport Police spokesperson told the Telegraph: "Officers were called to Branchton station at 5.32pm on 30 May following reports of a casualty on the tracks.
"Paramedics also attended and a man was taken to hospital for treatment to injuries which are believed to be life-changing.
"The incident is not being treated as suspicious."
