LADY Alice Primary held its first spring fayre since lockdown and raised an amazing £1,200.
The fayre was organised by the parent council, called Lady Alice Family Tree.
There was loads of family fun to be had on the day, with lots of stalls, a prize raffle and face painting.
Lesley Caldwell, the school's deputy head, hailed the event as a great success.
She said: "We had crafts, face painting, tombola, raffle, teas and home-baking.
"We had a really good turnout, we had lots of parents, pupils and people in the community.
"It was organised by our parent council and supported by staff.
"We are delighted at the amount raised for school funds."
There was a variety of stalls selling everything from knitted crafts to toys while the raffle proved popular with people queuing up to see if they had won one of the fantastic prizes on offer.
More importantly it was a chance for the school family and wider community to spend time together.
Ms Caldwell said: "We had lots of positive feedback. We held a spring fayre annually for many years but this is the first we've held since lockdown."
