HAVE you ever wondered what lies within the giant exteriors of the cruise ships that dock at Greenock every summer?

Well, now you can have a glimpse at the magnificent interior of the MSC Virtuosa - the biggest one ever to come here - as she visits Ocean Terminal today.

This ship was designed to go beyond comfort; and instead provides luxury, a range of choices for all guests, and style throughout.

MSC Virtuosa has more than 2,000 cabins for up to 6334 passengers.

Greenock Telegraph:

Whether you want a studio interior for a cosy, budget friendly journey; an ocean view room, or a deluxe suite complete with whirlpool, there really is something to suit every taste.

For those worried about their carbon footprint, MSC have that covered too - with a 98% reduction in Sulphur Oxide, and a 90% reduction in Nitrogen Oxide emissions, the company work hard to put environmental wellbeing at the forefront of each trip.

Greenock Telegraph:

The ship has ten restaurants offering an array of cuisines from around the world.

Among the choice of eateries is a sushi bar, a teppanyaki restaurant, and a Sea World restaurant, for those wishing to explore and expand their palate.

Greenock Telegraph:

There's also a classic buffet restaurant, steak house, and Italian restaurant for people preferring classic and familiar food.

Greenock Telegraph:

One of their most unique features has to be the MSC Starship club lounge, which offers a futuristic experience. Here passengers meet Rob, their Robot bartender, who will happily serve you one of their 16 cosmic cocktails, or will help you create your own!

Greenock Telegraph:

For those needing more human interaction, you can also visit any of the ship's 21 bars and lounges, including their casino bar, dance club, and ice cream bar offering delicious treats, frozen drinks and more

Greenock Telegraph:

There's a range of entertainment options on board. Passengers can relax in the spa and wellness clinic and treat themselves to facials, massages, and beauty treatments.

The ship also has a state-of-the-art gym, and five pools.

Greenock Telegraph:

Passengers can spend their evenings enjoying a drink in front of the Carousel at Sea productions, and be treated to a beautiful display of dancing, music and acrobatics.

Alternatively they can spend their evenings indulging in a little bit of onboard retail therapy along their 118m² promenade, full of boutiques.

Greenock Telegraph:

If that gets overwhelming, take a seat along the prom, and look up at the longest LED Dome on the sea, which is as beautiful as it is unique. MSC Virtuosa really is fun for all the family, as they offer a huge selection for kids of all ages.

Greenock Telegraph:

Whether they want to make a splash in the aqua park, build holiday friendships in the Lego kids club, or just zone out in the video games arcade, there's no room for boredom here.
