A NEW ‘death-defying’ circus has arrived in Greenock, with several shows to be held over the next few days.
Circus Vegas has set up in Battery Park ahead of its first performance in the town tomorrow.
The one-of-a-kind show features talented daredevil performers from across the world.
Audiences can expect to see the merging of Las Vegas traditions and contemporary styles, as well as extreme stunts and classic clown escapades.
The cast includes duo Alambria, who will perform a highwire act which has never been seen before in Scotland.
Didyk Troupe from Ukraine will perform ‘unbelievable’ stunts on the acrobatic swing, with the circus’ stunt riding team also showing off their skills in the ‘Globe of Death’.
Circus legend Edy the Clown will keep the crowd amused throughout.
The show will also feature hair hanging, diablo manipulation, hula hoop acts, skating, juggling, and a talented troupe of dancers.
A spokesperson for Circus Vegas said: “Because of its diverse and cultural background the United Kingdom was specifically chosen as the location for Circus Vegas.
“Where better than to celebrate the vibrant, artistic and awe-inspiring nature of the circus?
“This really is an event with something for everyone, if you’re a petrolhead, theatre-goer, thrill seeker or wanting to see one of the greatest shows of its time, make sure to get your tickets fast.”
Circus Vegas is in Greenock until Monday, June 12, before the cast move on to a string of shows in Dundee, Inverness, and Aberdeen.
Tickets can be purchased at circusvegasuk.com or by calling the Box Office on 07494774008.
