AN ELDERLY residents' sensory garden in Greenock which was started during lockdown is now blooming thanks to their friends from Belville.
During the pandemic people living at Trust Housing Association-run St Margaret's Court, which supports independent living with care support, first started to get outdoors thanks to a lottery-funded project.
Belville Community Gardens visited every week to work with the residents and help them grow their own garden.
Now organiser George Glenny is delighted to have a garden for everyone to enjoy.
He said: "I would like to thank Belville for all their suport. This first started as part of a £6,000 lottery grant. It helped keep us all going during Covid and especially for me when I lost my wife.
"It is great to get some outdoor space."
Together with Inverclyde Community Food Network, Belville are helping St Margaret's Court residents find the right seeds to grow.
