AN MSP is set to call on the Scottish Government to establish a resilience fund for businesses impacted by disruption to CalMac ferry services.
Michael Marra, MSP for the north east of Scotland, will raise the issue in Parliament tomorrow during Scottish Labour Party Business.
Passengers across the ferry network have faced disruption to and withdrawal of services due to an ageing fleet.
The motion will ask ministers to provide better support for those affected by utilising funds obtained from penalties imposed on the ferry operator for breaches of its contract with Transport Scotland.
It has so far gained support from Highlands and Islands MSP Rhoda Grant.
