LABOUR MSP Paul O'Kane has presented a motion in parliament congratulating Wemyss Bay Railway Station's win in the 2023 World Cup of Stations.
It also highlights the work of the community group, Friends of Wemyss Station, for 'rejuvenating' it.
Mr O’Kane said: “Wemyss Bay train station was on the tip of everyone’s tongue when they heard that there was going to be a train station world cup winner.
“Anyone who has visited the station or at least seen one of the brilliant pictures of the station remembers it.
“I think it’s brilliant that the Friends of Wemyss Bay Station’s efforts have paid off.
"They have contributed to the station remaining a beautiful place and one with unique features like the bookshop and garden.
“I will certainly be paying a visit to the station over the summer and I hope this competition win will encourage more people than ever before to pay their own visit."
