A NEW survey of bingo jackpot wins in Scotland has seen Greenock branded the luckiest town in the country.
Between March 2022 and March 2023, almost £125,000 was won across 125 national bingo games at Club 3000 Bingo.
Greenock’s total saw it take first place from Glasgow, which has four bingo clubs, on £117,500, with Paisley following close behind on £115,700.
The town also made it on to the UK leaderboard in eighth place.
The survey was carried out to mark the upcoming National Bingo Day on June 27.
Alastair Stewart, head of commercial operations at the National Bingo Game, said: “It’s great to see Greenock topping our Lucky Towns survey in Scotland as we celebrate National Bingo Day and bingo winners across the country.
“There’s nothing quite like a win to get the heart racing!
“As every bingo player knows it’s not just the ‘buzz’ of the win, nor the size of the prize, that makes bingo special – it’s the people, sense of fun and community: the very thing we will all be celebrating this National Bingo Day on 27th June.”
