FILM crews were spotted in Greenock today as production continues for the latest series of a popular BBC drama.
Having already visited Inverclyde several times in the past few months, Shetland crews returned today to shoot scenes for season eight along the Esplanade.
Photos and footage show actress Alison O’Donnell filming scenes as Detective Sergeant Alison 'Tosh' McIntosh – a role she has played since season one.
The new series has began filming in April, with Alison being joined by new cast member Ashley Jensen.
Filming has already taken place on Greenock’s Old Largs Road, as well as Bay Street in Port Glasgow.
