FERRY services between Inverclyde and Argyll and Bute have had a choppy start to the week with several sailings cancelled this morning.
A 'technical issue' with the linkspan at Dunoon has forced CalMac to suspend the Gourock-Dunoon service on Monday, with shuttle buses operating instead.
The ferry operator reported earlier this morning that 'contractors have attended for initial investigations' and Argyll & Bute Council is arranging for 'further surveys' of the linkspan.
In an update this afternoon, CalMac said the service will be out of action until Friday July 7.

Meanwhile, sailings have also been cancelled on the Wemyss Bay to Rothesay route due to a 'technical issue' with MV Argyle's rescue boat.
CalMac said the sailings departing Rothesay at 11am and 1.05pm today, and those departing Wemyss Bay at 10.05am, 12.15pm and 2.05pm, will no longer run.
Further departures from Rothesay at 3pm, 5pm and 7pm, and Wemyss Bay at 4.05pm, 6.05pm and 8.05pm today are also liable to disruption or cancellation at short notice.
