CALMAC'S service between Gourock and Dunoon has resumed this afternoon following the completion of repairs to the linkspan in Dunoon.
All ferries have been cancelled since Monday, with a shuttle bus operating to help passengers connect with Western Ferries.
Argyll and Bute Council, which oversees the Dunoon linkspan, arranged for structural engineers and technical officers to investigate and repair the issue.
The service has returned ahead of schedule, with CalMac bosses initially indicating that there would be no ferries on the route until tomorrow.
It will resume with a 1:50pm sailing from Dunoon, with a ferry departing Gourock at 2:20pm.
Live service status information is available at calmac.co.uk/service-status.
