A YELLOW weather warning has been issued for Inverclyde as the area braces for thunderstorms and heavy rain this weekend.
The warning will be in place from 9am on Saturday until midnight.
The Met Office says residents may experience flooding of homes and businesses, and that this could happen quickly.
Spray and sudden flooding could lead to difficult driving conditions and road closures.
There is also a risk of homes and businesses suffering power cuts.
Highs of 23°C are forecast, as well as winds of up to 29mph.
