AN ARREST warrant has been issued for a man facing a jury trial on a charge of having a screwdriver in a Greenock close after he failed to turn up at court.
Michael Docherty was absent from the latest calling of his case with defence solicitor Paul Keenan telling the court he had 'no explanation for his non-attendance'.
Docherty, 32, is accused of being in possession of the weapon without a reasonable excuse at a common close on Sir Michael Street on March 19, 2020.
It is claimed he committed the alleged offence while on a court bail order from January 2020.
