A film and television acting legend was a surprise visitor at Wemyss Bay Railway Station for an upcoming TV documentary.
Scottish star of stage and screen Alan Cumming popped into the award winning station as part of a special series on the adventures of the Royal Scotsman train.
The 58-year-old acting luminary has received numerous accolades including a BAFTA Award, an Emmy Award, two Tony Awards, and an Olivier Award, having starred in numerous films including James Bond's Goldeneye, Romy and Michele's High School Reunion and The Tempest.
A spokesperson for the Friends of Wemyss Bay Station said: "A lovely visitor to the bookshop yesterday - Scots acting legend Alan Cumming was chatting to us about all things Wemyss Bay for a future 14th Floor TV Productions series on the Royal Scotsman train, which regularly visits the station.
"Dugald Cameron shared his expert knowledge on the trains and steamers of the Clyde."
One of the UK's most luxurious trains, the Belmond Royal Scotsman, has an onboard spa and luxury dining.
Tickets to travel on the service's Highland and UK tours range from £2,300 to almost £4,400.
