A GREENOCK man charged with urinating on his partner's clothes and repeatedly punching her to injury is set to stand trial at the sheriff court after maintaining a plea of not guilty.

Christopher Feeney, 34, is also accused of threatening the woman and others with violence and of preventing her from leaving a property in the town.

Prosecutors say that Feeney, of Dempster Street, committed the alleged offences between October 18 and November 8, 2021.

The Crown says that he threatened to blow up a previous partner's mother's home in December 2020.

Feeney is also charged with shouting, swearing and kicking a door after turning up at his ex's home on October 23 that year.

It is alleged that Feeney assaulted another former partner by kicking her on the body, causing her to fall to the ground and punching her on the head at an address in Greenock in September 2006.

Feeney has denied all of the allegations through lawyer Aidan Gallagher.

The case is due to be heard on August 28.

He has pleaded not guilty to all of the charges through lawyer Aidan Gallagher at the sheriff court.

The case is due to call again on August 1, ahead of a trial scheduled for August 28.
