TRAINS running between Gourock and Port Glasgow were cancelled after a vehicle collided with a railway bridge.
Passengers faced travel disruption after a tractor got stuck at the bridge on Sinclair Street in Greenock at around 10.30am this morning.
The vehicle was removed from underneath the bridge but Network Rail had to close the railway through the area until the infrastructure was checked for damage.
Police were observed standing close to the vehicle and looking at a red metal section at the highest point at the back of the tractor.
ScotRail advised customers travelling between Gourock and Port Glasgow that they could use their train tickets on McGill's Buses until trains were back on.
The line reopened at around 11.10am.
