A MURDER accused man charged with killing alleged victim Lee Elliot with a sword in Larkfield has been fully committed for trial.
Gerard Turner is charged with repeatedly striking the 37-year-old on the body with a large bladed weapon.
Turner, 46, was arrested after police were called to a report of a late night disturbance at Larkfield's Angus Road on July 30.
Turner, who is also charged with the alleged attempted murder of another man, appeared from custody for a second time at Greenock Sheriff Court yesterday, having been remanded in custody following a petition appearance last week.

A further charge claims that he also behaved in a threatening or abusive manner by allegedly chasing Mr Elliot and the other man, brandishing a sword at them and repeatedly attempting to strike a taxi, into which they had entered, with the blade.
Turner made no plea through lawyer Gerry Keenan at the latest calling of the case in private and was further remanded in custody.
A date for his next court appearance, which will take place at the High Court, is to be confirmed.
