A POPULAR Greenock pub has temporarily shut its kitchen due to a mechanical fault – just days after a break-in at the venue caused a brief closure.
One Bruce Street Bar and Kitchen announced that an issue with the extraction fan had left it without ovens or hobs.
It comes after staff were left cleaning up damage, including smashed windows, following the break-in on August 6.
In a post yesterday evening, the team at One Bruce Street said: “Without the extraction fan our gas supply does not turn as a safety feature which in turn means we have no ovens/hobs.

“We have contacted all customers today who have made a booking to let them know and we will contact any future bookings for tomorrow onwards once we know a bit more in terms of what we can do, however with it being the weekend we are struggling to find a resolution.
“It’s not been a brilliant week for us at One Bruce Street but we are trying to keep pushing through the hurdles and come back better out the other end.
“Thanks for everyone’s support.”
