TRIBUTES have been paid to an Inverclyde Boys' Brigade honorary vice president following his passing.
Tom McClumpha died on Friday, with Inverclyde and District Battalion Boys Brigade sharing the news on social media over the weekend.
They said: “The Battalion is devastated to learn from Tom’s son Richard of Tom’s passing .
“Tom was such an influential member of the Brigade family in Inverclyde who will be sadly missed.
“Whilst the saddest of news, we take comfort in the assurance that Tom is once again reunited with his beloved Betty and they will be together now for eternity.”
Other people added their own tributes to Tom.
One commented: “An inspiration to many young men and young women in Inverclyde.”
Another added: “Sad to hear this. Back in the arms of his wife Betty, both were great ambassadors for the Boys' Brigade.”
