A FREE playscheme project proved a huge success as youngsters from Greenock's east end enjoyed a scintillating summer of fun.
Auchmountain Halls was one of the venues for the four-week block run by Inverclyde Leisure and funded by the council.
Youngsters from the east end packed out the hall every day for some fantastic fun, taking part in a range of activities including arts, crafts, games and sports.
Discos and parties were held and there was food and lots of fun with friends.
Inverclyde Council stepped into fully fund this year's summer playscheme as part of their £50,000 anti-poverty strategy.
On top of the playschemes they also supported those on the lowest incomes by continuing free school meal payments over the summer.
There was also an affordable childcare hub in Port Glasgow and the continued provision of youth programmes through the council's active schools teams and youth services.
Now that the schools are back the help continues during term time, with all primary school aged children in Inverclyde entitled to free meals. The area is the first in the country to do so.
