A GOUROCK author who penned a book based on his adorable pet dog says the story is being read as far afield as Australia.
Kevin McAdam officially unveiled Bear in the Park at an event at Crow Cottage Arts.
The book is inspired by Kevin's four-year-old Leonberger/Newfoundland cross, Bear.
Kevin said a lady bought two copies of the book at the event, and told him she would be sending one to her granddaughter in Australia and one to Perth Children's Hospital.
He said he was thrilled to see so many people coming along to support him despite the bad weather on launch day.
Kevin added: "It was a great day and there was a lovely wee atmosphere.
"I sold more than 20 books in no time.
"It was great to see some familiar faces and meet new people."
Kevin says he signed a lot of books on the day - and some were even dedicated to family pets.
He added: "People asked me to sign one for their wee one and another for the dog.
"I've had a lot of great feedback from a great bunch of people."
