A MAN has been charged in connection with a fatal crash that tragically claimed the life of local dad David Horn.
Police have today announced that a 23-year-old will be the subject of a report to the procurator fiscal in relation to the collision, which occurred last year on the A78 near Inverkip.
The accident happened at around 11.25pm on October 15 and involved a Toyota Yaris being driven south by 59-year-old Mr Horn and a northbound Volkswagen Golf.
Wemyss Bay man Mr Horn was taken by ambulance to the Queen Elizabeth University Hospital in Glasgow where he died a short time later.
In a short statement issued shortly after the incident, Mr Horn's family paid tribute to him.
They said: “David was a loving, caring and compassionate husband and father, and a ready, willing and true friend to many.”
Police say the 23-year-old male who has been charged will now be the subject of a report to the procurator fiscal.
