TWO Inverclyde swimmers have been celebrated at the Scottish Parliament following their recent success at a national competition.
MSP Stuart McMillan lodged a motion on Tuesday congratulating Stephen Coyle and Lindi Steele of Port Glasgow Otters on bringing medals home from the National Senior Learning Disability Swimming Games.
Last week, the Tele reported that Stephen picked up freestyle gold in the 200m and bronze in the 50m race.

Lindi won silver in the 50m backstroke and bronze in the 50m freestyle.
Both swimmers also took home participation medals.
Mr McMillan called on the Scottish Parliament to applaud Port Glasgwo Otters for ‘giving adults and young people with learning disabilities the opportunities to swim at a competitive level’.
