A GREENOCK bail breach offender who 'fell asleep at a friend's house' and broke a court-ordered nighttime curfew has been locked up.
Patrick Altizio, 43, pleaded guilty to two charges of breaching a dusk-to-dawn restriction on August 6 when he failed to remain within his bail address between the hours of 7pm and 7am.
The Crown accepted pleas of not guilty to a further bail breach charge and an alleged theft of a cash box containing £313 from Cathcart Street on May 6.
Defence solicitor Paul Keenan said his client has a 'formidable record' and has been in prison before.
Mr Keenan said: "He was in the company of a friend and fell asleep and before he knew it he was outwith his hours."
Sheriff James Spy sentenced Altizio to six months in jail backdated to August 7 when he was first remanded.
